Flexible carbon based conducting rubber

By this time we have been thinking that rubbers can’t conduct. But Japanese scientists have just paved their way for the rubbers to conduct electricity buy mixing it carbon particles. The researchers have given name as ‘e skin’ for this rubber as it can feel heat and pressure just like humans. In fact it has overcome the problem of metals, as the metals are conductors but cannot be stretched. Also this was the first entry in the world which hardly transmits electricity according to the University of Tokyo. If we see the capabilities of this amazing rubber, it can stretch up to 1.7 times than its original size and boasts electricity to up to 570 times as high as commercially available rubber. Technically there are many application developments based on this ‘e skin’. Let us now consider one application here, the artificial skin on robots. Really it is the most innovative idea to use this rubber on robots; because they need to feel temperature and pressure like us otherwise it will be too worse.
